Introducing our beefed-up new document editor

Facebooktwitter

We have been at it for some time now developing a new, beefed-up version of our already awesome document editor. Based on a lot of feedback from our users, we have mapped its shortcomings and developed a cure for them. The new version also brings a bunch of new features, which make printout template creation even faster and easier.

Basically, we have built the new editor from the ground up, introducing new technology and taking Actual Reports to the next level.

Multipage templates
You can now create templates which span over multiple pages – awesome for creating those contracts, NDAs, proposals or other documents that just cannot be put in shorter form.

Zoom
One of the two feature requested most. We have incorporated zoom into our new editor, enabling you to pull out that magnifying glass and take a closer look at your templates. This feature becomes extra-handy when working with your tiny labels – you can zoom in to work on them or zoom out to see your document in full length.

Auto-align
Another feature requested the most. We know it can be frustrating to count those pixels to make sure your content is perfectly aligned. Auto-align allows you to align multiple components relative to others e.g align all components left and stack them below each other.

Improved styling and formatting options
If your imagination is running wild and you just don’t seem to fit into existing boundaries, we are also introducing advanced styling and formatting options for your templates.

But as we are at it, we will keep the momentum going – in a few weeks we will be bringing you a chart component that will give you the ability to create data-driven documents in a totally new way.

Meanwhile you can test out the new editor here.
